Remojo Shut Down: The Best Remojo Alternatives in 2026
Remojo's quit-porn app is gone: according to Remojo's own terms of service, the company "terminated" its app service as of September 2024 and moved to a course and coaching program on Skool. If you're looking for a Remojo alternative, you need an app that brings back what the old app did in one place: a blocker, an urge tool, a course and a community. For most people, QUITTR is the closest match.
Below you'll find what actually happened to Remojo, what to cancel or remove now, what the old app included, and an honest comparison of the best apps like Remojo in 2026, with prices checked in October 2026.
What Happened to Remojo?

Remojo was a quit-porn program from REMOJO, LTD., led by founder and CEO Jack Jenkins. For several years it combined a phone and desktop blocker with courses, an accountability partner and an anonymous community.
Then the model changed. Remojo's terms of service, last updated January 22, 2025, say three things that matter to former users:
The app ended in September 2024. The company says it terminated its app service and now delivers its program through a course, coaching and community group on Skool.
Existing subscribers could move over. People with an active app subscription on September 29, 2024 were to be invited to transfer to the Skool program free of charge by email and push notification.
No refunds on the new program. The terms say there are no refunds on the new program from September 2024 onward, and that refund policies for the old products no longer apply.
As of October 2026, Remojo's homepage says its "all new program is under re-development and will be delivered via Skool." The app listings are gone too. When we checked, Remojo's App Store page and its Google Play page (package app.remojo.android) both returned "not found," and REMOJO, LTD.'s Google Play developer page listed no apps.
Remojo by the numbers
These are the last figures Remojo itself published, plus what we found in October 2026. Treat the company's figures as self-reported and out of date.
Sept 2024 — App service ended
600K+ — Sign-ups claimed since 2021
4.0 ★ — App rating still shown on remojo.com
2.48K — Reviews behind that rating
76 — Members in Remojo's Skool group
None — Free trial on the Skool program
The 4.0-star badge and "500K+ downloads" line still sit on Remojo's homepage, but they refer to an app that no longer exists in either store.
What to Do Now If You Used Remojo

If you searched "Remojo app not working," this is why: the service behind the app was shut down. Here's a short clean-up checklist before you switch.
Check for a leftover subscription on iPhone. Open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions. If Remojo appears as active, tap it and choose Cancel Subscription, following Apple's cancellation steps. If there's no cancel button or you see an expiration message in red, it's already canceled.
Check on Android. Open the subscriptions page in Google Play, select the subscription and tap Cancel subscription. Google notes that uninstalling an app does not cancel its subscription.
Not listed in either store? Apple suggests searching your email for an Apple receipt and checking which account was billed. If you paid Remojo directly on the web, look at your card statement.
Joined the Skool program? Remojo's terms say subscription cancellation runs through Skool, and the Skool page says your bill shows "Skool," not REMOJO.
Remove the old app before installing a new blocker. Remojo's own FAQ says another VPN interferes with its blocker on iOS. Two filtering apps competing for the same connection can stop either one from working, so delete Remojo first, then set up your replacement.
Do these steps in one sitting. A dead blocker is worse than none, because you think you're protected when you aren't.
What Remojo Used to Offer (and What Replaced It)

Knowing what you're replacing helps you choose well. Based on an archived 2022 version of Remojo's How It Works page, its FAQ and its homepage, the app included:
Blocker on every device, including a web filter for Mac and Windows, with uninstall protection on Android. Remojo noted that preventing uninstallation wasn't possible on iPhones.
Accountability partner, switched on from a Commitment tab.
Urge manager. Remojo's FAQ describes it as a panic mode that disconnects the phone from the internet for 10 to 120 minutes.
Courses. The homepage lists 70+ lessons; the archived page promised a new course every month and expert courses such as one by porn recovery coach Noah Church.
A community for anonymous peer support.
In August 2022, the archived page listed three plans, each with a 3-day free trial: Starter at $14.99/month, Reboot at $9.99/month billed quarterly, and Godmode at $7.49/month billed annually. Those plans no longer exist.
The Skool program today
What replaced the app is a different product. Remojo's Skool group is run by Jack Jenkins and, as of October 2026, shows 76 members and a "closed" status. It promises a personalized game plan, coaching by DM, impulse-control training and community support, with access "for up to a year" if you need it.
It also says plainly that it doesn't rely on blockers, browser monitoring or NoFap streaks, and that there are no free trials. The page shows no clear price. If your Remojo routine was built around the blocker and the urge manager, the Skool program doesn't replace those.

What a Good Remojo Replacement Needs

Most people used Remojo as a bundle. When you replace it, check each piece rather than picking the first "porn blocker" in the store.
Blocker on all devices: A filter that covers every browser on your phone, plus your computer
Uninstall prevention: Some friction against switching it off: a PIN, a partner alert, or Screen Time locked by someone else
Urge manager: A tool you can open in the first minute of an urge, not just a lesson to read later
Courses: A structured day-by-day program rather than a pile of articles
Accountability partner: A real person, or at least a group that notices when you go quiet
Anonymous community: Peer support where you don't use your real name
If an app covers only one or two rows, plan to add the missing pieces yourself.
QUITTR: The Closest Replacement for Most Former Remojo Users
QUITTR covers the same ground Remojo did, in a single app that is still actively offered on iOS, Android and as a Google Chrome extension. According to QUITTR, it is trusted by 2M+ users, with ratings of 4.7 on the App Store and 4.5 on Google Play.
Here's how it maps to what you lost:
Blocker → QUITTR Content Blocker. Filters adult websites, risky search terms and porn URLs, integrates with your phone's system to block adult content across browsers, and blocks inappropriate ads.
Urge manager → Panic Button. Instead of cutting your internet, it launches a quick sequence of distractions, breathing exercises and motivational messages to break autopilot. QUITTR recommends it for HALT moments: Hungry, Angry, Lonely, Tired.
Coaching → Melius, QUITTR's AI therapist. Private, real-time support 24/7 during urges or emotional crises. It helps you identify triggers and cope, including after a relapse.
Courses → a 90-day plan. A personalized recovery roadmap built from an onboarding assessment quiz, using CBT principles: goal-setting, positive reinforcement, education and structured daily exercises. There's also a library of lessons, soundscapes, meditation and journaling.
Community → anonymous forum and clans. Challenges, daily check-ins, private groups and leaderboards.
QUITTR also adds things Remojo didn't emphasize: a real-time streak tracker, a Life Tree that grows with your streak, a 30-day challenge, QuitCoins and unlockable orbs.

Other Remojo Alternatives Worth Considering

BlockerX: if you miss Remojo's blocker and partner alerts
BlockerX is the closest match to Remojo's blocking side. Its site lists blocking for 2 million+ adult sites, keyword restrictions, enforced safe search, an accountability partner, community access, and uninstall protection on Android (iOS gets uninstall notifications instead). It runs on Android, iOS, Windows, macOS and Chrome.
Its App Store listing rates it 4.4 from 8.3K ratings and describes a "Panic Switch" that cuts internet access during urges, much like Remojo's urge manager. BlockerX's site offers a 1-day free trial and a 3-day money-back guarantee. See our full QUITTR vs BlockerX breakdown.
Brainbuddy: if you liked Remojo's courses
Brainbuddy's App Store listing rates it 4.7 from 26K ratings. It describes a 100-day education program, a content blocker and web filter, progress tracking, accountability challenges and its own Life Tree. All features require a paid Premium subscription after onboarding, and the listing doesn't say which period each price covers. Compare it in QUITTR vs BrainBuddy.
Covenant Eyes: if you want a person to see your screen
Covenant Eyes now presents its product as Victory. Its pricing page lists Screen Accountability (screenshots sent to your ally), porn blocking, check-ins, mini-courses and community, covering up to 10 people in a family. On iOS, screenshots work in Safari only. It's the most expensive option here, and it's monitoring-based rather than urge-based. Details are in QUITTR vs Covenant Eyes.
Relay: if Remojo's community mattered most
Relay's App Store listing rates it 4.9 from 3.3K ratings. It puts you in a private, gender-separated group with chat and optional live video meetings, plus courses built with licensed therapists and a 15-minute personal call in week 1. Blocking comes from a separate Relay Shield app. See QUITTR vs Relay.
Fortify: if your use is tied to stress and sleep
Fortify on the App Store rates it 4.7 from 3.2K ratings. It's free to download, with in-app purchases listed at $12.00 monthly, $89.99 annual and $199.99 forever access. It focuses on assessments, check-ins, journeys and AI coaching. The listing doesn't mention a content blocker.
A note on proof
Be skeptical of every app's success figures, including the ones Remojo published. A 2022 review in JMIR Formative Research looked at 170 apps for problematic pornography use and found none cited direct evidence of their own effectiveness or safety. Apps give you structure and friction. If porn use is hurting your relationships, work or mood, or you can't stop despite trying, talk to a licensed therapist as well.
How to Switch Without Losing Momentum

Switching apps is a risky week. The old system is gone and the new one isn't a habit yet. Use this order:
Clean up first. Cancel any leftover Remojo subscription and delete the old app (see the checklist above).
Install the blocker the same day. Don't leave a gap between deleting Remojo and protecting your phone. On QUITTR, turn on the Content Blocker first.
Test it. Try a known adult domain on Wi-Fi and on mobile data, in every browser you use.
Put the urge tool on your home screen. Remojo users were used to an urge manager. Keep the Panic Button one tap away and use it at the first thought, not five minutes in.
Rebuild accountability within a week. Join a clan or post a daily check-in in QUITTR's community, or ask one trusted person to hold your Screen Time passcode.
Restart your count without shame. If you slipped during the switch, it doesn't erase what you learned. Our guide to bouncing back after a porn relapse walks you through the first 24 hours.
Can you use more than one app?
Yes, but keep it simple. A sensible setup is one recovery app you open every day, one filter that's hard to switch off, and one real person in your corner. Running two VPN-style blockers at once can cause conflicts, so pick one filtering app per device.
Key takeaways
Remojo terminated its app service in September 2024; its store listings are gone and its program now lives in a small Skool group.
Cancel any leftover App Store or Google Play subscription, because deleting the app doesn't cancel billing.
A real Remojo replacement needs a blocker, an urge tool, a structured program and a community, not just one of them.
QUITTR covers all four in one app; BlockerX, Covenant Eyes and Relay suit people who want partner reports, screenshots or small groups.
No recovery app has strong independent proof, so pair any app with friction, honesty and professional help when you need it.
How QUITTR Can Help
If Remojo's blocker and urge manager were what kept you on track, QUITTR gives you both back in one app. The Content Blocker filters adult sites, risky search terms and porn URLs across your phone's browsers. The Panic Button starts breathing exercises, distractions and motivational messages the moment an urge hits.
Melius, QUITTR's AI therapist, is there 24/7 to help you spot triggers and recover after a slip. A personalized 90-day plan, streak tracker and anonymous community with private clans keep you moving day by day. QUITTR is subscription-based (about $9.99–$14.99 a month, with annual and lifetime plans; check the app for current pricing) and runs on iOS, Android and Chrome. Download QUITTR to start your plan.
“I tried everything to quit, but nothing stuck. Then I found QUITTR. The blocker plus the daily motivation helped me stay clean—and for the first time, I actually believe in myself again.” — Lewis Taggart

Frequently Asked Questions
What happened to Remojo?
Remojo's own terms of service say that as of September 2024 the company terminated its app service and moved to a course, coaching and community program on Skool. As of October 2026, its homepage says an all-new program is under re-development and will be delivered via Skool.
Is the Remojo app still available?
No. When we checked in October 2026, Remojo's App Store and Google Play listings no longer loaded, and its Google Play developer page listed no apps. Remojo's terms describe the app-based program as obsolete.
Why is my Remojo app not working?
Because the service behind it was shut down in September 2024. An old copy may still sit on your phone, but you shouldn't rely on it for blocking. Remove it, check that no Remojo subscription is still active, and set up a current blocker.
How do I cancel a Remojo subscription?
If you subscribed through Apple, go to Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions. If you subscribed on Android, open the subscriptions page in Google Play. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. If you joined Remojo's Skool program, Remojo's terms say billing and cancellation run through Skool.
What is the best Remojo alternative?
For most former Remojo users, the closest replacement is an app that combines a content blocker, an in-the-moment urge tool, a structured program and a community. QUITTR covers all four. If you mainly want strict blocking with a partner who sees reports, look at BlockerX or Covenant Eyes; for small-group accountability, look at Relay.
Is there a free Remojo alternative?
Most full recovery apps are paid, and some offer short trials or limited free tiers. Fortify, for example, is free to download with in-app purchases. Whatever you choose, pair it with your phone's built-in content restrictions and one real person who knows your goal.
